What art should be; that is, to capture reality. Peaceful and calming.

Very Nice...My First Oil Teacher Taught ME About Masonite...it last longer than canvas...I see your using the Smooth Side...Try the textured...First Sand with fine grit ...so the loose stuff is gone..then prim an paint...It's too cool.

Thank you. I have some masonite boards I bought at Home Depot and primed it with texture, but I haven't gotten around to doing a painting. It takes me a few attempts to get the hang of a new canvas and I am just conquering the smooth side, it might be a while till I get to it.

It's What my Original Teacher Used a lot...two sides...More fun ..The Paintings on the rough side look kinda vintage...( That old school texture look...;)

Just remember to sand it first so the texture is smooth before preping...I think I have a Janis Joplin in my Gallery that's done on the textured side..you might check it out for Ideas..;)
